We stayed for one night and absolutely loved how close the Church of St James is, just a few steps away, and the scenic views at Ducklington Lake, perfect for peaceful walks after exploring the city. the cozy shepherd's hut we had was a unique retreat that added a special touch to our trip.

The room offered was both clean and beautifully decorated, with a super comfy bed and a good-sized bath. The staff excelled in politeness and helpfulness, enhancing the experience. Freshly made Mediterranean dishes in the restaurant were a delightful surprise, showcasing generous portions and incredible flavor, making dining a highlight of our stay. A lovely touch was the complimentary strawberries and cream that welcomed us in the room.

Unfortunately, the room's positioning was less than ideal, being near a bustling pub area which might disturb light sleepers. some found the area outside needed more upkeep, especially with the view being somewhat less appealing thanks to an unattractive plastic marquee outside.

Really enjoyed the vibe at this place! It’s a cozy spot with stylish decor, loved the mix of modern and rustic feel. The food was awesome, and they have a cute bar area to chill out. Too bad the room was a bit chilly. a heater would’ve helped for sure. Otherwise, everything was neat and welcoming.
